On October 20 in the Donetsk region, particularly in Artemivsk district Ukrainian Armed Forces started the second stage of withdrawal of tanks, guns of caliber up to 100 mm, mortars of caliber up to 120 mm from the contact line. This was stated by the spokesman of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine for ATO Colonel Alexander Motuzyanyk during a briefing in the Ukrainian crisis media center, Joinfo.ua reports.

He noted that the OSCE released a report with evidence of breach of withdrawal of weapons by the militants. “UAV observers recorded a high concentration of military equipment and weapons in areas under control of so-called DPR on Mariupol direction. Thus, two tanks were detected near the village of Bezimenne, 26 tanks and one anti-aircraft mount Strela-10 M near the Sontseve village, 3 tanks – near Michuryne village and self-propelled artillery system “Gvozgika” near the villages of Petrivske and Oktyabr. In addition, the militants used electronic jamming systems, trying to turn off drones of SMM above the village Zayichenko”, – said Colonel Motuzyanyk., He also said that Russia “does not stop military and logistical support of the puppet regimes in the occupied territories, continues trainings for militants, construction of the fortified positions, intelligence activities including radio-electronic intelligence. ”

For the past day no shelling of UAV flights were detected in the ATO area. But yesterday in the village Novotroitske, Donetsk region, Ukrainian soldiers tripped on the explosive device. As a result, one soldier was killed, another injured. “That is why the Ukrainian military conduct educational activities with the residents of front-line towns to protect their life from the careless handling of explosives,” – said Colonel., He also said that during the past day Emergency Service experts have examined nearly 8 hectares of the land in Donetsk and Lugansk regions and defused 12 explosive devices.

According to Colonel Motuzyanyka on Hnutove checkpoint a citizen of Ukraine was detained for participating in the activities of illegal armed groups. It was found that the detainee was a member of the gang Vostok with the nickname Silent. Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has also blocked the activity of spy network of so-called DPR in Donetsk. “Detainees gathered information about the locations and moving routes of AFU and reported to the militants for attacks on our artillery positions,” – said Colonel Motuzyanyk.

He also said that 19 trucks with humanitarian aid from the International Red Cross Committee passed through Novotroitske checkpoint. Another 13 trucks passed through Zaitseve checkpoint. Trucks were carrying 195 tons of food packages that were provided by charity providers.
