State Aviation Administration of Ukraine has received a letter from the Federal Air Transport Agency of the Russian Federation (Rosaviation) with an offer to hold talks on air traffic between the two countries. This was announced by Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Andriy Pivovarsky.
“The Ministry of Infrastructure and the State Aviation Service are ready for the talks. The time, place and the participants from Ukraine will be announced later,” – wrote the minister.
Earlier today, the Federal Air Transport Agency sent a letter to the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine with proposals “to negotiate immediately on a range of issues existing in the field of air transport at any convenient for the Ukrainian side location.”
Russian authorities referred to the fact that the airline received a letter from AtlasJet Ukraine with the request for the opening for the winter season 2015/2016 the navigation flights on three routes: Kiev-Moscow, Odessa-Kiev-Moscow and St. Petersburg. Also, with the request to open flights in the winter season on the route Kiev- Moscow and Lvov-Moscow Airline UTair-Ukraine addressed to Rosaviation.
It should be recalled that on September 25, according to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to ban flights of Russian airlines to Ukraine, primarily of Aeroflot and Transaero companies.
