Yatsenyuk told when Ukraine will be able to hold the elections in occupied Donbas

In its traditional “10-minute with PM” video Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said that Ukraine, without a doubt, has to hold the elections in Donbas, which is under the control of the militants. And for this it is necessary to adopt a particular law. Besiades, there are clear conditions for elections in Donbass, Joinfo.ua reports.

“The first condition, – stressed Yatsenyuk – “the elections can not be conducted under the muzzles of Russian machine guns. They have to leave the territory of Ukraine and fulfill the Minsk agreements.”

“One and a half million internally displaced persons registered in Ukraine, should be entitled to participate in this electoral process, and to choose those who will represent the local authorities of Donetsk and Lugansk,” – said the Prime Minister.

The third condition, according to him – the elections must be held under Ukrainian legislation and the highest standards of fair and transparent elections.

“Fourth – we must ensure that political competition in Donetsk and Luhansk, both through access to the media in these areas, and through the right of all political parties in Ukraine to take part in these elections, and to present their candidates,” – he said.

“And the idea of legalizing a Russian enclave through the elections and provide terrorists with the status of deputies of local councils will not pass,” – said Ukrainian PM.

It should be recalled that President Poroshenko earlier said that Ukraine will return to the proposal on introducing the peacekeepers to the territory of Donbas if the implementation of the Minsk agreement fails to meet the agreed schedule.
