Russian media report that ships Nikolai Filchenkov and Saratov of the Black Sea Fleet has passed through the Bosphorus strait to the Mediterranean Sea. The pictures of the ships passing the Bosphorus were published by Ukrainian volunteer Denys Piatyhorets on his Facebook, Joinfo.ua reports.
“There went great amphibious ships №152 Nikolai Filchenkov and №150 Saratov. The first was Nikolai Phylchenkov. As you can see in the photo – on the deck it carries several pieces of wheeled equipment. Silhouettes of the machinery look very similar to multiple rocket launchers. This is how Russia wants to carry solely air operation in Syria. Yeah.
P.S. Knowing how clumsily worked Russian MLRS in Donbas, I feel compassion to the Syrian civilians. Even when our units were located out of the city limits, Russian “Rambos” managed to hit the residential areas, and the Syrian rebels are located in the towns”, – said Piatyhorets.
In turn, Russian media report that the ships carry military cargo to the Syrian city of Tartus, where the point of logistics of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean Sea is located.
According to Russian media earlier on Sunday the Defense Ministry spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov told the journalists that Russian bombers carried out 39 sorties from the Hmeymim air base and conducted 60 air strikes at 51 targets in the provinces of Hama, Latakia, Damascus and Aleppo.
