The Bulgarian government has not let the Russian plane with supposedly humanitarian supplies to Syria to pass through their airspace, saying that the Russians were late to file the request, Joinfo.ua reports.
This is the second time of Sofia to close air corridor for Moscow, because they are not sure if the actual cargo corresponds with the declared one. In September, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry has officially confirmed the closure of its airspace for Russian aircraft with so-called “humanitarian aid” to Syria.
Turkey as well is in no hurry to open their air corridors for the passage of foreign vessels.
“Russia is making a deadly mistake. Their actions are not good, they just continue to chaos in Syria. We will not stop to warn Russia about it”, – said the Turkey Minister of Foreign Affairs Feridun Sinirlioglu.
Yesterday Russia stated that ISIS forces began to retreat under the joint offensive of Russian aviation and the Syrian army.
