ATO latest news: the truce adhered, OSCE to verificate Ukrainian tanks withdrawal

ATO latest news: the militants has almost completely adhered the truce, the OSCE representatives will conduct verification of Ukrainian tanks withdrawal for two days

According to ATO press service from October 8 after the announcement of the Ukrainian side on withdrawal of a certain amount of equipment, the OSCE representatives will conduct verification for two days, said Lieutenant Colonel Anatoly Stelmakh, spokesman of Staff during video conference in the Ukrainian crisis media center, Joinfo.ua reports.

Military equipment was relocated to certain areas at a distance of not less than 15 kilometers from the demarcation line. “International observers will check the quantity and factory license plates withdrawn by the Ukrainian side”, – said Anatoly Stelmakh.

As to the period of October 6-8, the militants adhered to a truce almost completely, which allowed completing of the first stage of the withdrawal of tanks from the demarcation line in the Luhansk region. At the same time in the ATO area militants conducted some armed provocations.

Thus, at 12.25 Wednesday October 7, for the first time since September 30, the militants broke the truce and attacked Ukrainian soldiers  conducting engineering works at the stronghold near Troitske village with anti-tank guided rockets. Four soldiers were wounded, one of the rockets damaged the excavator.

The OSCE patrol documented the incident. Now SMM and Ukrainian side are setting the place and time for a trilateral emergency meeting of the contact group regarding the incident.
