Today Russian court has continued to examine witnesses in the case of Ukrainian pilot, MP and member of the PACE Nadiya Savchenko in Donetsk, Rostov Region (Russian Federation), Joinfo.ua reports with the reference to Korrespondent.net.

According to Tweeter of her lawyer Mark Feigin, during questioning of FSB Lieutenant Colonel Alexei Pochechuyev Nadiya Savchenko has put a bag on her head.

Savchenko stated that Pochechuyev was involved in her abduction, and to test if he recognized her with a covered head, she has put a bag on her head.

Today, the court continued questioning Pochechuyev. Yesterday he appeared at the hearing in Voronezh, which was conducted through videocall. On October 6 he appeared before the cameras in a wig and dark glasses, and thee lawyers accused him of perjury.

“Nadiya Savchenko showed Pochechuyev a hand and asked how many fingers she was showing. Pochechuev said he did not see it. If he can not see fingers and facial features through cameras, it is unclear how the witness can  identify Savchenko,” – said Nikolay Polozov, Savchenko’s lawyer.

As a result, the defense stated that it was not Pochechuev, and required verification of the witness identity. But the court suggested to believe that Colonel was real.

Now the court has passed to the interrogation of another witness, a taxi driver who drove the killed journalists to the place.

It should be recalled that Russia stated that Nadiya Savchenko may be transferred to homeland only if Ukraine agree to execute the sentence of the Russian court and provides that Savchenko would serve it in Ukrainian prison.
