Experts have completed the comparative analysis of the fragments found in bodies of flight MH17 victims, Joinfo.ua reports with the reference to the interview to Dutch TV channel NOS of the former head of the main investigation department of the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), the former co-chairman of an international investigative team, Major-General Vasyl Vovk.
The experts, investigating the crash of the Boeing-777 shot down in Donbas on July 17, 2014, have completed the comparative analysis of the particles found in bodies and in the wreckage of the fuselage.
“According to the preliminary investigation results, the fragments in the bodies and in the parts of the aircraft belong to BUK missile. To verify these results experts conducted the additional comparative analysis of fragments, “- said Vovk.
If the investigation makes a conclusion that the particles are indeed belong to the BUK missile it will serve as the evidence of Russian involvement in the accident.
The official representatives of the joint investigation team said that at present several versions are considered, the most likely of which – the plane was shot down by a missile fired from Buk system, but other options are not excluded.
Security Council of the Netherlands has recently reported that the results of an independent international investigation will be presented on October 13, 2015.
