ATO latest news report that the situation remains relatively calm there. But Russia has reinforced militants in Donetsk region with dozens of APC and artillery units. The militants use the truce for staff rotation, redeployment of equipment, civil infrastructure construction and for fighting capability improvement, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to Dmytro Tymchuk, the coordinator of the operational data group Information Resistance.
Russian militaries organized trainings for the militants. So, for the so-called ‘the 5th OMSBR” (former brigade Oplot) they conduct training courses for fire spotters for artillery units. Near the contact line they train the militants to determine the coordinates and the distance to the detected position of AFU with topographic equipment and to control artillery fire.
They also conduct trainings for tank crews of militant unit called “2 AK LPR” on the ground near Kruhlyk village, and near Kalynovo village the firing trainings are conducted. The battalion-level trainings for “1st omsbr 1 AK DPR” are conducted near the Komsomolske village. In Lugansk region all artillery units are getting fully operational for the march to the areas of destination.
Approximately 20 APCs arrived from Russia by railway to reinforce the so-called “5th omsbr 1AK DPR”, only 5 of which were in working condition. The rest of them need new batteries, spare parts, machinery repair.
In the maritime sector there is accumulation of military equipment of the militant forces. Over the past two days from Russia at least 30 AFVs and up to 15 artillery units were airlifted to Markino village.With the help of engineering equipment, which comes from the Russian Federation they establish fortifications in Markino-Rosy Luxemburg village. Near Novoazovsk the militants are constructing the command and observation posts.
It should be recalled that on September 30 Trilateral contact group at the Minsk peace talks signed an agreement on the withdrawal of weapons of caliber under 100mm. But Eduard Basurin, speaker of the so-called DPR Defense Ministry, announced intention to begin the withdrawal of weapons of caliber under 100 mm and tanks only after the illegal elections on October 18.
