The General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces announced the beginning of the withdrawal of weapons of under 100 mm caliber, Vladyslav Seleznyov, the representative of the GS stated, Joinfo.ua reports.

At the moment, the General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces is preparing the list of equipment that should be withdrawn in ATO area, this list will be verified by the OSCE, and then the process will start.

According to Seleznyov, the process will be carried out gradually within the schedule specified the Minsk Agreements.

At the same time, the LPR media report that the militants have begun the withdrawal of weapon. Thus, near Aleksandrovsk tanks were moved for 15 km into the occupied territory.

It should be noted that yesterday after meeting in Normandy format in Paris on Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said on this matter: “The main result of this meeting is that we made several key decisions. The first decision: we are beginning to withdraw light weapons, starting right the next day, we have thoroughly discussed the procedure.”

It should be recalled that on September 29 Trilateral contact group at the Minsk peace talks signed an agreement on the withdrawal of weapons under 100mm caliber.
