As the AP press service informs, the President Petro Poroshenko arrived in New York for participation in the 70th session of the UN General Assembly where he will meet with US President Barack Obama. The Head of State will deliver a speech at the General Debate of the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, September 29, Joinfo.ua reports.

Arriving in New York, President Poroshenko confirmed that he will meet with US President Barack Obama on the sidelines of UN General Assembly.

“I just arrived, the technical issues of meeting are being settled, and I am confident that we will be able to exchange views,” – Poroshenko told journalists.

During the visit, the President will also participate in the following summits: sustainable development, peacekeeping, leaders’ summit on combating violent extremism and IS, Clinton Global Initiative.

The President will meet with heads of delegations of the member-states of the Common Group on MH-17 Investigation, experts and politicians in the Atlantic Council and U.S. business representatives.

The President will also have a series of bilateral meetings with political leaders and heads of state.

Petro Poroshenko will also have a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian community in the United States.
