DPR announced registration for illegal elections

The leaders of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic announced the start of documents filing for local pseudo-elections, appointed on October 18, 2015, which violates conditions of the Minsk Agreements, Joinfo.ua reports.

The documents filing announced to be conducted from 10:00 till 18:00 from September 19 till 22. “Now there is a preliminary filing of documents”, – Roman Lyagin, the head of the so-called Central Election Commission of DPR said.

According to him, the authenticity of the personal data provided by candidates will be checked in the “MIA” and “Migration Service” of  DPR where the information comes directly after registration in “CEC”.

“After verification, if confirmed, the applicant will be able to start collecting signatures in support,” – Lyagin described the registration procedure.

It should be recalled that the head of DPR Alexander Zakharchenko signed a decree on local elections in the ‘Republic’ on October 18, 2015. This direct violation of the Minsk Agreements may entail the introduction of new sanctions against Russia.
