In the period from September 14 to October 21, as a part of NATO’s plan for the autumn of this year, in Hungary will be held three large-scale military exercises entitled Brave Warrior 2015, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to Radio Svoboda.
The participants are the army units of Hungary, U.S.A., Ukraine, Slovakia, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia. In general, the exercises will be attended by military from 14 different states, the number of personnel will be 1,800 people.
By September 15, each country will send its 400 troops to Hungary. Meanwhile, last week, 550 U.S. Marines as part of a mechanized column of 150 pieces of military equipment, including MEDEVAC-type rescue helicopter gunships already arrived from Germany through the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Also, an E3A AWACS reconnaissance warplane, which is in service with the U.S. Army, also was sent to Humgary as part of military exercises with the aim of training. At the same time, within five weeks at a military airfield in the Hungarian town of Papa will be deployed 22 military aircraft from various NATO countries.
Last time such columns of U.S. military units and NATO were sent from Western Europe to the central part of the continent to the territory of the Eastern European allies in NATO in March 2015 in order to demonstrate the military-political support for these countries in the face of a military threat from Russia.
It should be recalled that recently in landfills of the Mykolaiv and Odessa regions was held an active phase of the U.S.-Ukrainian exercises Sea Breeze-2015. The ships-participants from Ukraine, the USA, Romania and Turkey will conduct a series of exercises in the sea on piloting ships behind sweeps, tactical maneuvering, transfer of goods on the move at sea, submarine search, air defense, and will conduct interacting with naval aviation.
