Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin does not know how to begin to trust Russia in the future. He stated this during his speech at the 12th annual meeting of the Yalta European Strategy.
“I do not see how the trust between Russia and Ukraine may resume in the next few years,” said Klimkin. “According to Mr. Greenberg, and I do not agree with him, the people who run Russia, decided to open the black box – they took up the idea of building a dual Europe: two civilizations, two pairs of values,” added the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
“When we first met in Minsk, Putin said: the network of post-Soviet economic relations originates not from the Soviet period, but much earlier. The post-Soviet relations are the way of thinking,” Pavlo Klimkin said and named the main problem of Russia.
“The main problem of Russia is not Ukraine in NATO, and Ukraine as an open state. It will be the opposite to what Putin is building,” he said.
Earlier, we reported that in an interview with The Washington Post, Poroshenko told about negotiations with the United States regarding defensive weapons of Ukraine.
