In his speech yesterday during the Yalta European Strategy, ex-Foreign Minister of Poland and Member of Parliament Radoslaw Sikorski suggested that the West should place anti-tank weapons near the border with Ukraine to help the country in case of further attack of the Russian forces on its territory, Joinfo .ua reports.
“Anti-tank weapons should be somewhere nearby Ukrainian border, in Poland or Romania. If the pro-Russian forces and Russian forces enter deeper into the territory of Ukraine, very quickly, within an hour, these weapons will be sent to Ukraine. We have to make President Putin understand it,” the politician said.
Sikorski notes that time is not on the Russian president’s side now.
“If we can convince him of this, I hope he will go for a deal in favor of Ukraine and Russia,” said the former head of the Polish Foreign Ministry.
At the same time, it is reported that for first time this year in the Donbas were no shooting. September 10 in the conflict zone have been completely calm. The enemy has not violated the truce and, accordingly, has not used a weapon.
