The Ministry of Defense of Moldova reports that it ceases any relations with the Russian military attache in Chisinau because of his presence at the parade in the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldovan Republic. As the Moldovan authorities banned to enter the territory of the country for the officials from unrecognized Abkhazia and South Ossetia for 10 years, Joinfo.ua reports referring to television and radio company TRM.

The Head of the Defense Ministry assessed such a move of the Russian embassy as ‘unfriendly’. The Ministry is now waiting for an official apology from the Russian military attache or his substitution.

“Such actions do not fit into the mainstream of relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation, as well as conflict with the statements about the official policy of Russia towards Moldova,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country Natalia Gherman.

The name of the military attache was not specified. The Russian Embassy in Chisinau also refused to give the name of the diplomat.
