Militants of the Donbas recruit their numbers largely thanks to the Russian citizens. The leaflets, distributed in metro stations of one of the biggest Russian city St. Petersburg, contain an appeal to donate money to militants, occupying some areas of Donbass, or join their ranks.
The picture of the leaflets, written according to the traditional style of the Kremlin propaganda, appeared in social networks.
“They are distributing it just at the metro station, agitating to join. Completely out of their mind! I asked if I can be a recruit? Yes, – they said “- says Andrey Alexeev on Facebook.
The text of the leaflets is full of the Kremlin propaganda clichés on the war in Donbas. Ukrainian defenders are called “chasteners” and the legitimate authorities – “junta”. The Russians are trying to persuade that the militants are not engaged in gang violence, robberies and murders, but are fighting for the right simply to speak Russian.
The leaflet also informs about “Interbrigades”, consisted of more than thousand of recruits from all over Russia went to the Donbas in early summer.
It should be recalled that Alexander Lukashenko expressed worries of armed militants running from Donbas to Belarus.
