Mikheil Saakashvili commented on Vladimir Putin’s visit to annexed Crimea and mentioned Joseph Stalin, who led the Soviet Union for decades, Joinfo.ua reports.
“During his illegal visit to Crimea Vladimir Putin deplored the fact that foreign people are appointed to positions in Ukraine. Maybe I am confusing something, but isn’t it by chance the same Putin, who has always been particularly positive towards one Georgian, who ruled the country Vladimir Vladimirovich misses all the time, for 30 years?” Saakashvili said.
It should be recalled that Putin flew to annexed Crimea on August 17, along with other officials of the Russian Federation. He took part in the meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of the Russian Federation.
During the meeting, Putin expressed his indignation regarding foreigners receiving positions in Ukraine and said that the Ukrainians should express their opinion on these appointments.
In turn, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that uncoordinated trip of Putin & Co. to Crimea was a ‘challenge to the entire civilized world.’
