European Commission allocates 8.55 million euro tranche for Ukraine

The European Commission has allocated the fourth tranche in the amount of $ 8, 55 million euros to Ukraine for support of the sectoral policy of management of the state border of Ukraine.

The European Commission has allocated a fourth tranche amounting to 8.55 million euros under the budget support program “Support for sectoral policy in the management of the state border of Ukraine.” It was reported in the press service of the EU representation in the country on Thursday, August 12, Joinfo.ua reports.

“With the help of this program on support of sectoral policies, the EU contributes to the modernization of the State Border Service and the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine; it is done by improving the legislative, legal and regulatory framework, introduction of better mechanisms of control and modernization of border crossing infrastructure in accordance with the EU standards,” the report on Facebook reads.

The program supports the efforts of the Ukrainian government to achieve an effective balance between secure borders and legitimate movement of people and goods in accordance with the standards and best practices of the EU.

It should be recalled that the Cabinet decided where the second tranche of the IMF amounting to $ 1.7 billion would go in advance.
