With the help of the coalition led by the United States, Turkey is preparing to launch a ‘comprehensive battle’ against the militants of the Islamic State of Iran and the Levant. It was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Mevlut Cavusoglu, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to Reuters.
“As part of our agreement with the U.S. we have made progress regarding the opening up of our bases, particularly Incirlik,” Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told state broadcaster TRT, referring to a major air base near the southern city of Adana.
It should be recalled that during raids on Islamists and Kurds, in Turkey were detained 1,302 people in 39 provinces of the country. The detainees are suspected of involvement in the ISIS, the Kurdistan Workers Party. Also there were detained members of illegal leftist radical groups and movements.
