MEP Jaromir Stetina representing the Czech Republic confirmed that Andriy Biletsky accepted the invitation to come to Brussels, and his speech is scheduled for the autumn, after the summer holidays in the European Parliament, according to Joinfo.ua with reference to Radio Svoboda.
Stetina stressed the importance of Biletskiy delivering a speech because “all these battalions of volunteers much discussed now are an expressive, real, political and military phenomenon.”
According to him, the military actions taking place in Ukraine are not a civil war.
“It’s not a civil war, as some of our politicians say, including our President (Milos Zeeman- Ed.). It is a war waged by one sovereign state against another sovereign state. It is a war of Russia against Ukraine,” he said.
It should be recalled that the U.S. House of Representatives adopted the amendments to the law “On defense spending,” according to which it is forbidden to provide the Azov volunteer battalion with assistance and deliver portable anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine. It is reported by the press service of John Conyers, the Congressman from the Democratic Party and the initiator of the amendments.
“I am grateful that the House of Representatives unanimously passed my amendments last night to ensure that our military does not train members of the repulsive neo-Nazi Azov Battalion,” Conyers said.
