The fugitive ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych wants to testify. The lawyers of the ex-president Viktor Yanukovych, who fled to Russia in February, said that he agreed to testify on his case, Joinfo.ua reports referring to TSN.
According to his lawyers, they have a relevant document, certified by a notary, where Yanukovych has put his signature. A correspondent at TSN Ihor Bondarenko says that, according to the document, the ex-president is going to testify in the mode of a videoconference.
In addition, now the Court of Appeal is considering a request filed by the lawyers of Viktor Yanukovych. According to the lawyers of ex-president, the criminal case against Yanukovych is not justified.
It should be recalled that on Tuesday, July 21, it was reported that the International Criminal Police Organization had removed the file with information about the fugitive Viktor Yanukovych from the list of wanted persons. The Bureau of Interpol reported that access had been frozen by the Commission for the control of Interpol’s files until the September processing of complaints of Yanukovych and his defense about him being declared internationally wanted.
