The Russian opposition leader Mikhail Khodorkovsky believes that the longer President Vladimir Putin remains in power, the greater the chance is that Russia will fall apart geographically, since problems appear, but none of them is solved. Such an opinion was expressed by the politician in an interview with sobesednik.ru, Joinfo.ua reports.
“I can say one thing: the longer Putin remains in power, the greater the chance is for this dissolution, because all the problems are neglected and none of them is solved,” Khodorkovsky said.
“If Russia still holds on some clips, it is the Soviet ones, on the general experience of that life,” the opposition leader said.
However, he said was not an apologist of that the idea for separation of the Caucasus and Chechnya.
“The general population of Chechnya lives a very Soviet way of life. Our people live there, and we have no right to sell them to the medieval feudal lord,” Khodorkovsky said.
