The referendum in Greece and its results are forcing the eurozone countries to discuss the current situation. The President of the European Council Donald Tusk announced the convening of the summit of heads of state and government of the euro zone on Tuesday, July 7, Joinfo.ua informs.
“President Donald Tusk has called a EuroSummit Tuesday evening at 1800 (1600 GMT) to discuss situation after referendum in Greece,” the European Council reported.
And this morning the results of the Greek referendum will be discussed by the leaders of the European Commission, the European Council, the Eurogroup and the European Central Bank.
It should be recalled that the Greek government announced the results of processing 100% of the ballots of the referendum on support of cooperation with international lenders.
61.31% of the citizens of Greece voted against the agreement with the creditors on the debt of the state.
38.69% of voters supported the terms and conditions of international creditors.
The plebiscite was attended by 62.50% of registered voters.
A total of 6.2 million people voted on 19.2 thousand voting stations.
