Two residents of Kyiv, who promoted the creation of the so-called Kyiv People’s Republic in social networks, are brought to trial, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the press-service of the Security Service of Ukraine.

The Security Service of Ukraine had been keeping eye on the men since April 2015. According to the law enforcement officers, two Ukrainian separatists created an online community and shared emblems of the fake ‘republic.’ They propagandized violent change of the state system of Ukraine and seizure of power.

The examination confirmed that the materials distributed by the attackers contain anti-Ukrainian appeals for the overthrow of the constitutional order.

On July 1, 2015 under the decision of the Sviatoshynsky District Court in Kyiv two organizers of the fake ‘republic’ were found guilty of committing crimes under Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 2 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The criminals were sentenced to five years’ imprisonment with a three year probation period.

Earlier, we reported that Aleksander Kravtsevich, a black volunteer soldier, who went to defend Ukraine in the ATO zone, had become a Ukrainian hero. The African Ukrainian Sashko is speaking Ukrainian and, according to him, is defending his native land from the Russian aggressors.
