During his speech in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz said that the EU would resume cooperation with the Russian Federation only after returning of Crimea to Ukraine, Joinfo.ua reports.

“Resumption of cooperation depends on whether Russia will respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, including Crimea,” Schultz said.

“I am confident that as a result of political efforts the problem of annexation of Crimea on the part of the Russian Federation will be solved: both the restoration of the national-cultural autonomy of the Crimean Tatars, and the release of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea will be held,” Poroshenko said.

It should be recalled that President Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with delegation of U.S. Congress for discussion of additional measures to be taken in relation to the Russian Feredation.

The President highlighted the necessity of coordination of efforts’ of the world community in case of escalation and disruption of the Minsk process. “We need an efficient and coordinated plan in case of failure of the Minsk agreements. It goes about a new wave of sanctions and well-coordinated actions. Russia must pay fair price for the murder of Ukrainians and occupation of Ukraine. It must be responsible for that,” the Head of State stressed.
