EU provides Ukraine with € 15 million humanitarian aid

Since the beginning of 2014 the total amount of humanitarian aid provided to Ukraine by the EU and individual member states has reached about € 223 million.

The EU has allocated 15 million euros of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, which will be sent to the victims of the crisis in eastern Ukraine. It was informed by the European Commission on Wednesday.

“The European Union is increasing its humanitarian response to help people affected by the crisis in eastern Ukraine, with a new aid package worth €15 million announced today by European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Christos Stylianides during his visit,” the European Commission stated.

The EU stressed that since 2014 the total amount of humanitarian aid to Ukraine given by the EU and individual member states had reached about 223 million euros.

Earlier, we reported that the Government of Canada had allocated nine million Canadian dollars for the centers of free legal aid in Ukraine.
