June 17, 2015 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the resolution "On termination of the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Russian Federation on control over the quality of products supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The draft resolution was prepared by the Ministry in compliance with the Presidential Decree, which put into effect the decision of the Council of National Security and Defense of Ukraine and on the basis of resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Termination of the Agreement is proposed to be implemented under Article 62 of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, referring to the fundamental change in the circumstances that existed during the conclusion of the Agreement. The fundamental change of circumstances is considered the annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea by the Russian Federation and the ongoing military aggression in the east of Ukraine unleashed by this country.

The adoption of the decision will lead to the abolition of legal background for cooperation with Russia in the military and technical fields, which, in fact, has not been carried out since 2014.
