Yanukovych ‘emerges’ for a reason and voices idea Putin will go to Minsk-3 with – expert

The Ukrainian political analyst Taras Berezovets is sure that the interview given by Viktor Yanukovych is a well-planned step President Vladimir Putin ventured upon.

Viktor Yanukovych

On his Facebook Taras Berezovets suggested that in his interview Viktor Yanukovych revealed the cards of the Kremlin and gave a clue for what Vladimir Putin would demand from Ukraine, Joinfo.ua reports.

"Honestly, I do not understand irony posts and jokes about Yanukovych's interview. Firstly, Yanukovych is a state criminal, who ordered to shot dozens of Ukrainians and allowed to lose Crimea and unleash the war in the Donbas. Secondly, resuscitation of Yanukovych means a change of Putin's scenario for the east of the country. Yanukovych has clearly voiced the Kremlin's hidden plans: "Donbas is Ukrainian. Take it back. But forget about Crimea." It is what Putin will base on while setting up the third Minsk Agreement. So forewarned is forearmed," Berezovets writes.
