NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced his intention to visit Ukraine, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the UNIAN news agency.
"I look forward to the visit to Ukraine, and we are looking for an appropriate date," Stoltenberg said.
However, according to him, today NATO has no concrete plans regarding the trip of the North Atlantic Council to Ukraine, whose last visit was made ten years ago.
"We have a regular dialogue with frequent meetings in the framework of the NATO-Ukraine Commission," Stoltenberg said.
He noted that the Alliance and Ukraine had a "strong and ancient political and practical partnership" with the intensive political dialogue within the framework of NATO-Ukraine Commission.
Also, in an interview with reporters, NATO Secretary General said that in recent months Russia had supplied the militants of the Donbas with more than a thousand pieces of heavy military equipment.
