On his Twitter account, Nikolai Polozov, the lawyer of Savchenko, reported that the UK Minister for Europe David Lidington sent Nadiya a letter on the anniversary of her captivity, Joinfo.ua reports.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine did not forget about Savchenko too. On the anniversary of captivity of our pilot, the deputies of the Batkivshchyna Party came in T-shirts with her portrait and the inscription "Freedom to Nadiya."
From the rostrum of the Parliament, an MP Ivan Krulko read the deputy's request of Nadiya Savchenko to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, asking for the exact number of the Ukrainians illegally held in Russia and information about the measures taken by Ukraine to protect them. After that, the deputies stood and applauded to the sister and mother of Nadiya Savchenko present in the session hall.
