According to Botsyurkiv, the mission has documented two cases of involving children in the war in the east of Ukraine. During the last visit to the north-eastern part of Shyrokine, whose territory is controlled by the militants of the DPR, the mission saw children at the checkpoint, Joinfo.ua reports.
"During the recent visit, our monitors saw minor children at the checkpoint. Some of them had guns," said Botsyurkiv.
He emphasized that the mission was very concerned about these facts. "Any time, when children are involved in an armed conflict, it is unacceptable," said the representative of the mission.
Botsyurkiv also said that the monitors had not spoken to the children.
It should be recalled that on May 30, the OSCE monitors noticed a boy of 12-14 years in camouflage with a gun at the checkpoint of the so-called DPR in Makiivka in the Donetsk region.
