Russian military concern Tehmash plans to increase the export of weapons to Azerbaijan, says Vladimir Tikhonov, the Deputy Director of the company, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the Azerbaijani mass media.
According to him, in a few years the concern plans to increase its share in the supply of ammunition available to the external market from the current 32-35% to 40-45%.
"We have a strategy, a specific task – we need to reach 40-45% in a few years. Now, according to our estimations, we have 32-35% of the external market available to us," he said.
Tikhonov said that available market is the countries that openly make purchases of ammunition both from Russia and its competitors.
"In particular, we are talking about Azerbaijan, Kuwait and Algeria," said the Director of the concern.
It should be noted that ammunition of the Tehmash concern are in service with five countries of the world.
