On Thursday, there was restored the import of gas from Hungary to Ukraine. In one day, Ukraine received 2.8 million cubic meters of natural gas, according to the department of public relations and media of Ukrtransgaz, Joinfo.ua reports.
Today, natural gas is imported from Europe through the territory of Slovakia and Hungary.
Most of the natural gas is supplied through the Slovak corridor – 27 million cubic meters per day.
According to operative information, as of today, from the beginning of the year Europe has imported 5.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas for the needs of Ukraine, which is 42% more than from Russia.
Yesterday, in his speech in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, President Poroshenko said that Ukraine had "jumped out" from the Russian "gas needle" and the blackmail of Gazprom was in the past.
