Ukrainian and American warships hold exercises in Black Sea

The naval exercises of the United States and Ukraine will be held for two days and end on July 2.

The Arleigh-Burke class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross and the flagship of the Ukrainian Navy, the frigate Hetman Sahaydachniy, hold exercises in the Black Sea, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the official report of U.S. Sixth Fleet.

The purpose of the joint training exercises is to reassure NATO allies and regional partners of the United States' commitment to working closely with them to enhance maritime security and stability in the region."Working with our partners in the Black Sea helps build greater regional awareness. Naval exercises with partners like Ukraine allow us to increase our joint capabilities and interoperability. As always, their conduct was very professional, and working with them today made our relationship stronger," said Commanding officer Tadd Gorman.
