Leonid Kuchma tells why Minsk talks failed

The meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on the settlement of the situation in the Donbas is scheduled for June 2. It was announced by the second president of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, who is the representative of Ukraine in the Contact Group, Joinfo.ua reports referring to 5 Kanal.

According to Kuchma, representatives of the parties shall hear the results of work of the sub-groups on the political, security, humanitarian and economic issues. After that, there will be held a closed meeting to agree upon the further course of actions.

But not everything is as it should be. After all, Russia is using the "politics beyond politics." Because the main requirements of the Minsk Agreements – cessation of attacks and withdrawal of weapons – are not met. So there is no point to talk about all the other items.
