Thermometers in India show forty-eight degrees above zero, however, during the past few days it has been two-to-three degrees cooler, Joinfo.ua informs.

According to weather forecasts, in the next week the heat will not subside in India. However, in a few weeks the monsoon rains will start and the weather will improve somehow.

Doctors advise the local residents to drink lots of fluids and stay at home if possible.

Most of the victims of the heat wave are homeless people, senior citizens, and those whose work requires a stay in the open air, for example, builders.

"Due to the heat wave there often occur disruptions with electricity and water supply. There is no possibility to solve these problems immediately, it will take several months to do general repairs," said Ashoutog, the representative of the Delhi city administration.

It should be noted that due to the heat wave in India doctors are not allowed to go on vacation.
