The Moldovan government has taken up the Russian propaganda on television. Coordination Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting of the country indefinitely suspended rebroadcast of the TV channel "Russia 24". This decision was made after the monitoring of channel carried out from March 9 to 15 this year, Joinfo.ua reports.
Members of the Council have determined that the channel "violated the Code of Television and Radio Broadcasting of the Republic, the European Convention on Human Rights, the CEC regulations for election campaign and the constitution of Moldova."
Thus, during the monitoring, it was discovered the broadcasting of the documentary "Crimea. Way Home" and coverage of the last elections of the head of Gagauzia held in March and won by Irina Vlah, the politician, who speaks for the accession of the Republic to the Customs Union.
The TV channels Prime, REN Moldova and RTR-Moldova, TV7 engaged in rebroadcasting of the Russian television programs were fined for the same reasons.
