Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council recognizes Russia as aggressor country, and DPR and LPR as terrorists

Today at the regular session, the members of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council supported the appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the United Nations, the European Parliament, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the Parliamentary Assembly of GUAM, and the national parliaments of the world to recognize the Russian Federation as the aggressor country, and the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics as terrorist organizations.

The decision was supported by 92 deputies out of 103 registered in the session hall.

"The deputies of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council are willing to continue to address to all international organizations, to give any estimates, approve appeals and statements, if they are aimed at developing and strengthening the unity of the state," the statement reads.

The deputies asked the central government to establish lasting peace in the country, focusing on the fulfillment of the Minsk Agreement, to conduct indexation of pensions and wages given the real rate of inflation.

The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council also called for the abandonment of the planned increase in utility tariffs, gas prices for the population, paid travel in electric transport for pensioners planned to be introduced starting from July 1, as well as to return citizens their social safety net and social benefits.

"The deputies of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council take sincere and firm position regarding national integrity of Ukraine and its democratic development and feel the need to do everything possible to facilitate the implementation of the changes necessary to the country and fully condemn politicking, wastefulness and incompetence in making decisions important for Ukraine," the statement reads.
