U.S. President Barack Obama said that the Russian aggression against Ukraine was increasing, Joinfo.ua reports referring to the television channel "24".
During the meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, he talked about the situation in the Donbas. They noted that only implementation of the Minsk agreements could lead to peace in the Donbas.
"We had a chance to discuss the situation in Ukraine. And the increasingly aggressive posture that Russia has taken. We reaffirm that NATO is the cornerstone not just of transatlantic security, but in many ways it's the cornerstone for global security," said Obama.
NATO Secretary-General, in turn, noted that the implementation of the Minsk agreements was the path to peace in the east of Ukraine.
"I urge all parties to fully implement the Minsk Agreements and Russia to stop supporting the separatists and to withdraw all its forces from Eastern Ukraine," Stoltenberg said.
