According to the Law of Ukraine on "de-communization" and the decision to clean the capital of the symbols of communism, in Kyiv were knocked down two more monuments, Joinfo.ua informs.
Thus, in the Kyiv Nyvky park was demolished the monument to the Komsomol members of 1920s. And the park near the Beresteiska metro station was deprived of the monument to a communist member Demyan Korotchenko.
The monuments were knocked down early in the morning and laid for several hours until the utility vehicles drove to load the statues. Pedestals remain in their places.
So far, it is unclear, what will happen to the monuments.
