Rõivas said that there could be no compromises at the expense of the security of Estonia. "The world around us will not be protected if we do not work on this," Rõivas said at the congress of the Reform Party in Tartu, Joinfo.ua reports referring to ERR.ee.
According to the Prime Minister of Estonia, a war is started against those countries which are weak and who have no desire to defend themselves. "Estonia is not like that. We have to introduce and maintain a national defense course in schools, teach defense to everyone interested, and pay compensation to the reservists. We will try to bring it all to life," said Rõivas.
"We must do everything to support Ukrainians, whether it is economic aid, acceptance of refugees or political support in the international organizations. Our role is to be always active and to keep our back straight," he added.
It should be recalled that on May 12, the government of Estonia suspended rail traffic in Russia because of the difficult political and economic situation in the relations between the two countries.
