According to U.S. Senator John McCain, Russia will have to pay a high price for the aggressive actions in Europe, Joinfo.ua reports referring to Polskie Radio.
McCain believes that Russia will continue to conduct aggressive actions, since until now Russian President Putin has not paid for the annexation of Crimea and destabilization of eastern Ukraine.
"I do not think that he is some kind of a threat to Poland, because Poland is a very strong state. However, I think the Baltic countries are falling under his serious pressure. If he implements his plans in these countries and in Moldova, his appetite for other territories will increase," the American politician believes.
"Russia must hold responsibility for its aggression and pay higher price for it," said McCain. According to him, Putin's actions in Ukraine are "disgraceful."
It should be recalled that Michael McFaul, the former U.S. ambassador to Russia (2012-2014), said earlier that the United States and Europe were not ready to fight for Crimea, and Russia "is sitting" in the UN Security Council having veto power.
