Preliminary investigation of Savchenko’s case closed

Preliminary investigation of the case of Ukrainian pilot and people's deputy Nadiya Savchenko is closed. It was announced by his attorney Mark Feygin on Twitter.

Feygin announced the completion of the preliminary investigation of the case of Savchenko. "Just left Nadiya. She says hi to everyone. The preliminary investigation is closed. Now, reviewing of Article 217 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation," the lawyer writes, Joinfo.ua reports.

It should be recalled that Savchenko is located in the Matrosskaya Tishina detention center in Moscow. In Russia, she is accused of involvement in the deaths of Russian journalists in the Donbas and illegal border crossing.

On May 6, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow extended the arrest of Savchenko until June, 30.

Earlier Feygin said that after reviewing the materials of the case of Savchenko she would be charged under Article 217 of the Criminal Procedure Code, followed by a trial.
