U.S. Congress raises issue of granting Ukraine "normal" weapons again

The U.S. Congress has again declared the urgent need to provide Ukraine with lethal weapons. Bill Pascrell, one of the legislators known for his constant support of Ukraine, once again reminded of the issue of weapons supply to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He announced it yesterday at a ceremony in the U.S. Congress in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA), Joinfo.ua reports.

"I think the United States should go beyond humanitarian assistance, it is necessary to provide such military support, that will ensure that Ukraine can defend itself," said a member of the House of Representatives.

He noted that more than six thousand dead in Ukraine, even according to official statistics, is a very big number. "Even a thousand is a lot," said Pascrell.

According to him, these data should motivate Washington to decide on more substantial military assistance to Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that the Committee on Armed Services of the Senate of the United States voted for the provision of military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $ 300 million.
