Russia Today to take impartiality test in UK

After being caught in biased coverage of information about events in Ukraine, the Russian TV channel Russia Today does not stop lying on the air. This time the British Ofcom media regulator accuses it of breaching the requirements on impartiality, Joinfo.ua reports referring to The Guardian.

The news agency refers to the investigation of the SophieCo program of March 27, 2015, which demonstrated live interview regarding migrant detention centers in the UK. As it turned out, a viewer complained against the media regulator about the bias of this issue.

An Ofcom spokesperson said: "Ofcom has opened an investigation into this current affairs programme on RT, which included an interview about detention centres for immigrants in the UK, to establish if it was duly impartial."

Previously, it was reported that the crew of TV channel Russia Today had their camera broken and were expelled from Jerusalem. On Jerusalem Day, the day of the Jewish holy city, the propagandists arrived with the crew of Arabs, while Israel lives in a state of permanent Arab-Israeli war.
