The national arrogance of the Russians regarding the imperial plans of Putin and hopes that the EU will collapse like the Soviet Union, will continue for at least two years, despite the fall of living standards caused by the economic sanctions of the West, Joinfo.ua reports referring to the ex-President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski.
"The Russians are the people, who are very sensitive to the national pride, imperial expectations, and the question is whether this pride is more important than decent living standards," said Kwasniewski.
"According to experts on Russia, with whom I had a conversation, two years is the minimum amount of time Putin has for calm implementation of his policy, even if it causes serious deterioration of the living standards of the Russians," said the ex-president of Poland.
He stressed that the recession in the Russian economy in the next three years would be seen even by ordinary Russians.
Earlier, former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski said that Russian President Vladimir Putin would use the methods of destabilization of Ukraine and conduct an aggressive propaganda to trigger the third Maidan.
