NATO plans to expand the practical cooperation between the military alliance and Ukraine, as well as to beef up the military personnel of NATO in Kyiv, Joinfo.ua reports referring to the statement of NATO Secretary General at a press conference in the Turkish city of Belek.
"Allies have deployed additional support to the NATO Liaison Office in Kyiv and provided advisors to the Government of Ukraine, including the Ministry of Defence," he said.
"Our increasingly close cooperation in the framework of our Distinctive Partnership will enhance Ukraine's ability to provide for its own security, and further improve the interoperability between Ukrainian and NATO Forces," Stoltenberg added.
It should be recalled that NATO-Ukraine cooperation operates within the special partnership, although Stoltenberg did not mention any other agreements in this regard.
Earlier, it was announced the release of NATO report "Hiding in Plain Sight. Putin's War in Ukraine", which will be held on May 28.
