DPR starts talking about broad autonomy with respect to militants’ interests

The so-called "DPR" accept broad autonomy, but without prejudice to the interests of the separatists. It was stated by Denis Pushilin, the representative of the DPR militants.

According to the representative of the DPR, the leaders of the militants agree to autonomy of Ukrainian temporarily occupied territories, but want their interests to be met, Joinfo.ua reports.

"We agree to the broadest autonomy, without prejudice to our interests. If Kyiv does not perform the Minsk Agreement, the DPR will be forced to move to full independence," Pushilin told to reporters.

According to him, the DPR "made amendments in the draft Constitution (of Ukraine – ed.) so that other regions have the right to self-recognition."

Earlier Pushilin said that at the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on resolution of situation in the east of Ukraine, which ended on Wednesday, May 6, in Minsk, there was reached "a breakthrough."
