NATO Secretary-General calls on Russia to stop supplying militants with arms

At a press conference in Brussels, before the meeting of NATO foreign ministers, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg called on Russia to stop supporting separatists in the Donbas.

He noted that NATO was concerned about the growing violations of the ceasefire in the east of Ukraine. "Of course, we continue to express concern when we see multiple violations of the ceasefire," said Stoltenberg, Joinfo.ua reports.

He urged the parties to abide by the Minsk agreements. According to him, Moscow "provides separatists with arms, ammunition, and conducts exercises." "We call on Russia to stop supporting separatists," said the Secretary-General.

In addition, Stoltenberg noted that Ukraine was an important partner of the Alliance. "Ukraine is our important partner. In Antalya will be held the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission," said Stoltenbeng.

Earlier Joinfo.ua reported that May 13, Pavlo Klimkin, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, would visit the province of Antalya, where he would participate in the NATO annual event at the level of the Foreign Ministers.
